Abstract

Proposal and working hypothesis to consider as sacred scenes in Levantine Rock Art (LRA): Arroyo Hellín (Jaén), Solana de las Covachas (Albacete), El Milano (Murcia) and Racó dels Sorellets (Alicante). The characters that intervene in those caves, humans and animals, together with their attitude and gestures, denote that they are beings alien to the everyday and profane world, and that they move separately from all hunting, warlike or domestic activity.
